It’s been a dream to have a home close to the beach. A place I can lounge with a book, relaxing in the planters chair with legs propped up.

Surrounded by my heritage, things I have been hoarding for ages, memories of me and my brother venturing into our attic collecting all the discarded antiques and quaint things that appealed to me.

The handbag woven by my grandmother, the ancient frames, the kitchen utensils used long ago, the old heavy lock that was used to lock my grandpa’s shop, the measuring cups and so many more memories.

Now I have all these and more in my Strings of Heritage Holiday Home at Prabhu Mansion, Mangalore.

A place that’s serene but right in the middle of the city, a place surrounded by trees, sometimes visited by peacocks and monkeys, it’s just a stone’s throw away from the ferry ride to the beach.

A place I’m longing to stay in and share with the world. If you want to stay here, swinging in the balcony enjoying my garden, having conversations over authentic Mangalorean breakfast and just being in this home, it’s time to make a trip to Mangalore.

Stay with us, enjoy our hospitality and experience Mangalore. You can create memories with art experiences in my home studio. I conduct art and clay workshops for children and adults, on request.

Strings of Heritage holiday home is a laid back and serene Mangalorean home, which gives a glimpse of my culture and heritage. The gallery wall houses family heirlooms and local culture.

The Guesthouse is in the first floor, accessible by lift. The third floor has my home studio where guests can engage in art activities with prior confirmation. I conduct workshops in art and clay for the guests.

The focus is on a restful place to enjoy a family holiday. The home is close to the iconic Sultan Battery watchtower built by Tippu Sultan. The New Tannirbhavi beach is a road and ferry ride away.

Comfort and leisure is the focus here. Though in a very serene location it is very close to the good eateries, and has home delivery facilities of local cuisine.
